The big challenge was making the solution seamless and un-intrusive to vehicle owners.
Continuous changes to roads and other navigational data meant that vehicles needed frequent data updates. Also, the drivers have become accustomed to electronic devices that automatically update software with little or no human interaction required.
Existing solutions required a vehicle owner to take the vehicle to a dealership and have a service technician update the features. Aimed at developing a better solution, Subaru selected the HARMAN Ignite cloud-platform to update vehicle features and functions effortlessly.
